A new sketch

Here's another sketch I did in the Moleskine that I just finished. This turned out pretty good, with the exception of the wizard and the fact that in reality there are 2 more pens in the case. Now that is creative license! LOL! I have a bunch more to scan and load - just making sure my scanner works.......

I just recently noticed that Moleskin is spelled Moleskine - I wonder why?

I missed you!!!

Oh it's been a very long week!!! My other computer got all scrambled and I had to get a new one - with Windows Vista instead of XP and it's all different! And of course everything had to be reloaded, thank you DH. I finished my Moleskine and this is one of the sketches I did. I finished it early! On the 13th I think. I'll have to post more photos when I get the hang of this new way of doing everything.... Sometimes change is good and sometimes it's a pain in the rear!

Only 5 1/2 more spreads to go!

Here are a few more sketches I've done the past couple of days. I only have 5 1/2 more spreads to do and I will have finished my Moleskin in one month! I just wanted to see if I could do it.

The top sketch is my crochet bag and the bottom is a Zentangle I was playing around with.

Someone asked me which one I enjoy doing more ~ Zentangles or sketches. I really like realistic work and when I'm drawing and painting I like to try and get things as realistic looking as possible. So I guess I would have to say I like doing a good sketch more. Zentangles are relaxing and fun to do and serve a totally different purpose.

I'm a sketching fool...

I have been sketching up a storm! I decided this morning I'm going to try and finish this Moleskin in one month, I started December 18th so I've only got 8 1/2 days left!!!! I've done 5 or 6 spreads this morning so I only have 20 - 21 spreads left, counting the inside of the back cover. I know, I'm anal, it's just not done until the back cover is drawn on too! I also draw on every single page, including the backs of pages... These are a few sketches I've been doing this week. This morning I sketched the Hibiscus, I wasn't going to color them in but decided I just love the colors when I'm flipping through the pages.........

The other night I was out of ideas and too lazy to get up and go find something to sketch so I did a Zentangle. These are lots of fun to do, very relaxing and don't take as much time as you'd think.

I guess I'd better go eat breakfast since it's 12:36 pm! :D Have a great weekend!

EDM challenge 44 - draw your pet

This is Sapphire. She is one of our 3 cats, and the one we've had the longest. She finally sat still long enough for me to do a quick sketch. Sapphire has "attitude!"

EDM challenges & Look what came in the Mail!!!

I have been on a sketching streak!!! I just sketched up the remote last night, the vacuum this morning and then when I got Danny's new book this afternoon I sat down and did a quick sketch before I dive in and read it!!! I was really surprised it was so thick!!! I had to take a peak and look through a bit but as soon as I finish dinner I'm diving in!!!

Hey, at this rate I may have my moleskin finished before the end of January!!!

Too tired to sketch?

Normally I wouldn't post such bad sketches but I have to prove that I have drawn every day. Besides, this keeps me humble, not every sketch is going to be great. So on with the post ~

Can you actually be too tired to sketch?!! No, but you can be so tired your sketches are off, your perspective is off etc.

We have been doing some major cleaning and going through and getting rid of stuff and I am sick of cleaning, I didn't like it before and still don't, probably never will... Anyway - we're done. Well I am. Now to rest up so I can draw a descent perspective! LOL!

Happy New Year!!!

This was my sketch for tonight - draw a book. I decided to draw a skewed stack of books. I have so many books it's obscene! I really need to go through them and get rid of some. I'm afraid if I do I'll regret it.... I have been drawing something every day, and I'm really proud of myself! I'm planning on finishing this moleskin by the end of January. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could just draw all the time?!!!
