This is a sketch I did the other night. I was tempted to get out the ruler and pencil to make lines for my letters, but that would totally go against the "sketching" idea, so I winged it. I thought The Gazette part turned out really well, although my headline letters are all different sizes. But the point of sketching is to do it quick. This wasn't a 15 minute sketch either, this took more like 30-45 minutes..... I'm need to sketch birds or animals or something that won't hold still so I get into the quick habit. When things don't move it's easy to take a lot more time..... But so far I've been sketching or drawing every day, so I feel good about meeting that goal, even if some of my sketches are awful. I'm only human.

Really enjoy your work. The newspaper is great. Most of my sketches take more than 15 minutes so we are thinking alike. Keep up the wonderful work.
I like that one! The newpaper and letters are great, and there's a lot of energy in the page!
