This is my page for this morning. I actually wrote around the drawing! I've been having a hard time doing that, maybe it's from all those years of painting professionally and selling my work..... Anyway, this morning I did Danny's way of drawing with rarely looking at the paper. It's really hard to do, I'm used to constantly looking to see what I'm doing. This is not my first attempt at Danny's technique, the coffee mug turned out totally off balance etc. This is fun though. For some many years I had a preconceived notion of what I could draw and couldn't draw. I never would have tried to draw my daughter sitting in the chair before, that would have been too hard. So I'm learning that I can draw anything (maybe not very good), but I can draw it. That's pretty cool! Can't wait to try more people!
This was my drawing/painting for yesterday. Now a question for you, is this just a day lily? There are Stargazer Lily's and I'm not sure what all kinds so I wasn't sure what kind this one is, although I know it's not the Stargazer Lily.

You've been busy! This lily is beautiful, and all your drawings are really cool. My faves are your feet and your daughter in the armchair. I feel like you since I've read Danny Gregory's books... liberated! (but I supposed it has to come at the right moment in our lives)

A lovely lily, is that close enough classification? - I'm not a gardening expert but I think if the bloom lasts more than one day then, its not a day lily. Very vibrant.
